Michael Geller is a Vancouver-based architect, planner, real estate consultant and property developer with 45 years’ experience in the public, private and institutional sectors.

He has had a longstanding interest in manufactured housing since he won a CMHC Travelling Scholarship in 1970 to tour factories across the United States which were participating in the ‘Operation Breakthrough’ program.

He subsequently did his architectural thesis on modular housing and oversee design and construction of a number of modular housing projects during his tenure with CMHC.

In addition, Michael has undertaken his own developments including a controversial high-rise in Point Grey, a controversial mid-rise building in Kerrisdale, and numerous controversial low-rise developments including Oak Gardens in Oakridge, and the Lanesborough in Kerrisdale, developed in partnership with Polygon Homes.

Recently, Michael has been involved with smaller infill projects in West Vancouver involving the conservation of heritage houses.

Michael has been honoured as a life member of the Architectural Institute of BC, a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners and serves on numerous boards.
