Howie Charters, VP Consulting Services of Colliers, will be having a discussion with David Negrin, CEO of MST Development Corporation, about the developments they are undertaking for the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh along with other projects in the region being undertaking by other Nations. They will share some of their insights and experiences with this growing segment of developers and how the lending community and associated service providers can partner/support/work with First Nations.

Howie Charters joined Colliers in 1996 and has over 35 years of experience in both the public and private sector. Prior to joining Colliers, Howie held senior executive positions with the Federal Government and was responsible for Public Works Canada’s real estate holdings in Western Canada and also acted as the Western Canadian real property advisor to the Treasury Board Secretariat.
Howie founded Colliers Consulting practice in 1997. His expertise includes the provision of strategic advisory services for the development of mixed-use commercial projects and the rationalization of complex portfolios, as well as in the development and implementation of real estate management reform and portfolio strategies. Over the past 15 years Howie has worked with 16 First Nations governments and members in B. C., Alberta, Ontario, and Arizona to assist them with economic development initiatives.
David Negrin

MST Development Corporation
David Negrin has over 30 years of extensive experience in the development of residential and commercial real estate, including master planned projects. David is currently: the CEO of the MST Development Corporation (a joint venture between the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh nations); CEO of Attollo Management Inc providing development and construction management service consulting for various major projects in Greater Vancouver; Development Consultant (former President) for Aquilini Development and Construction; and Chief Negotiator for the Lax Kw’allaams Band of Prince Rupert. Prior to his role as President of Aquilini Development and Construction, David had multiple successive roles at Concord Pacific culminating as Senior Vice President. In addition, David has been a Director of UDI since 2004; serving as President in 2006-2008.
